Points to remember when doing a job search

Job hunting is said be one of the most important steps to go ahead in your career. The increase in the number of career options for students has allowed the candidates to land up owning the kind of job they want. Just out of the college, students look for Sarkari jobs or jobs in the government sector to have a long and a stable future. But, looking for the job and then appearing for the interview are two very different areas of concern.

There are few tactics you should know before you go for a job search:

• First of all dress in a decent manner. Your attire is the first impression on the basis of which the employer judges your personality.

• You should always give your best shot when appearing for the interview. An eye contact with the interviewer is a must. This shows your confidence.

• Do not fumble in between the interview. Never use a language in which you are uncomfortable. It’s not mandatory to always speak in English; you must only use the language you can speak fluently. Fumbling in between the interview gives a negative impression on the interviewer.

• You should try and not touch a topic, you are not sure of. Talking about irrelevant things will always annoy the interviewer.

• Be patient and answer thoughtfully.

If the HR person says that he will get back to you in some time then, in most of the cases it means that you are rejected. Almost every big employer extends the offer letter same day of the interview these days to save traveling time and to have quick joining of the candidate. Therefore, you should always act smartly and ask directly to the company if you are selected or not rather than wasting your time. Also, if the company asks time then you should immediately apply for some other openings.
