Getting into the teaching world, especially at the school level has always been considered the easiest job in the government sector. But, not anymore! Now the times have changed. With the implementation of Central Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by CBSE, the candidates applying for government jobs or private jobs in the teaching sector will have to face a tough competition. The quality of the teachers in India doesn’t seem to be very impressive as the results of CTET tests this year has declared 93% failures from the total students who appeared for the exam. This has raised an question on the teaching standards in the Indian schools.

There are a number of teaching jobs in Delhi or in any part of India, but now you will have to clear CTET for getting a teaching job anywhere. Therefore, if you are planning for a career in teaching then you must prepare yourself well for the entrance test. Referring the last year question papers or the sample papers available at the CBSE website you can take a hang of the pattern of the question paper. Gathering full knowledge about your subject and preparing as per the sections of the exam is surely going to help you in succeeding the exam. The structure and content for teaching from classes I-V is different from classes VI- VIII. You can refer the CBSE website for the updated syllabus and format of the exam.

The duration for the exam is 1:30 minutes. Child Development and Pedagogy is a common subject for teaching in both the primary and the elementary classes. If you want to be a teacher from classes I- VIII, then you will have to take exam at both the levels. You definitely require a lot of hard work to clear these exams, but once cracked, no one can stop you becoming a teacher.
